How To Recover Permanently Deleted Files From Windows & Mac

If you’re here, you’ve likely deleted an important file(s) on your computer and looking for a means of recovery.

Some times we out do ourselves trying to create enough space on the drive for important files. However, in the process, we permanently delete other important files as a result of an over sight or negligence.

Files are not permanently deleted on your drive, even when you shift+delete them or delete them from the Recycle bin. Although, you lose access to those files, they always present on your drive until their sectors are replaced with new files and they become truly, permanently deleted. Hence, when you’re trying to recover deleted files from your drive, you should maintain the drive as it were. That is, not adding other files until the deleted files are recovered.

Step 1:

Download MiniTools Data Recovery Software from their official website and follow the installation instructions. It’s simple and easy like any other software installation.
Note: Please do not install this app on the partition you’re recovering you deleted files from.

Step 2:

After a successful installation, double click on the icon to launch the application. MiniTools opens to an interface asking you to choose a module to start recovery. That is, what led to your data loss.
Select “Undelete Recovery” if you’re merely trying to recover files deleted from you drive without any damage to the drive or partition.

Step 3:

After you select the relevant module to start, MiniTools scans your PC for attached storage devices in a second or two. When you see a list of these storage devices, select the relevant drive and click “Recover”

Step 4:

Usually, MiniTools scan results show both deleted files and files present on drive, however, you can navigate to the directory of the files before deletion to recover them. Select the files to recover and click “Save File”.
Note:. Save the files you recover to a different partition to prevent new files from overwriting old sectors.

Step 3:

After scanning, M3 lists the storage devices attached to your computer. Select the drive to recover from to proceed.

Step 4:
